The first units in Indigo Park Condominiums, a new development on Nicholson Drive, will open in November. Jeff Wright, of Wright Feigley Communications, says of the 33 units that will open in the fall, the developers have received "seven or eight" reservations. Cortland Partners of Atlanta is developing Indigo Park, which will eventually have 330 units. Condos in the development are starting in the low $100,000 range. (Source: Baton Rouge Business Report)

New upscale subdivisions are in the works
Tuesday, July 24, 2007
In the past week or so, plans for upscale subdivisions on Highland Road and Hoo Shoo Too Road have been popping up daily. First, plans for Highland Estates at Turtle Creek were submitted to the Planning Commission. Scott Kirby and Randy Gomez are developing the subdivision west of Huntington Drive. Highland Estates will have 27 estate-size lots of a half acre or better spread across the property. Then there was the news that a home and nine acres of property that belonged to former Gov. Edwin Edwards had been purchased for $2.6 million. Plans are to build Casa Colina, a 23-lot subdivision on the site between Majestic Oaks and Fair Oaks subdivisions.
The most recent project is on Hoo Shoo Too Road between Mallard Lakes and Montrachet. American Homeland LLC, a group that includes developer Kevin Nguyen, bought the 90-acre site for $1.8 million in a deal that closed Friday. Greg Cramer, who sold the property to Nguyen, says the details of the subdivision are still being finalized. --Timothy Boone (Source: Baton Rouge Business Report)
